What do we leave behind...

Yesterday, on the way back from office at a traffic signal i saw an Ambulance, 6-7 people and one Janazah inside, the Ambulance was right next to the window of the vehicle i was in, the thought just striked me, that the person (Janazah) was on his last journey, the last road of this world.

People Allah sent us in this world to pass a short exam and go to Him back again, after the 15minutes drive, the man is alone put into the abodely home (Grave) forever.

What did he or all of us would take?

We commit so many sins, Man practices Shirk, Bidaah, cheats, lies, decieves, refrains from what is forbidden and chooses haraam pleasures over halaal ones, hurts fellow humans, skips prayers, doesnot return back the trust he promises, doesnot guard chastity, does mockery, hate, jealousy, heedless, etc etc.
And at last Allah Alone knows what is to be granted for Him, He Alone knows whats happening to the dead person, relatives and friends can mourn only for 3 days, only wife has the right to mourn for 4 month and 10 days, and only a husband has the right to mourn for 40 days, what after that?

Dont you want a good soul to pray for you after you have reached Allah swt? In case we forget to seek forgiveness from Allah for some things we do (Known/Unknown sins), there are some mistakes that fellow humans cannot forgive you for, wouldn't this be taken to account in the grave? On the day of resurrection? Where No Father can avail a son nor a son can avail a father, mouth gets sealed and the hands, legs, skin, eyes and ears start talking, what can a slave do then?

Today's youth is just going astray in the blink of worldy pleasures, pomp and show! They forget the few days they live in this world is equally calculated! Elders today donot guide their kids on the paths of Prophets and Sahabas, Instead guide them with Cine Stars and Telivision Stars!
Ya Allah make things easy for every slave, refrain them from Fitna, Shirk, Bidaah and the worldly sins that you have made Haraam for your slaves. Money is playing cards and eeman is just sold out not even for half a dollar, Was this the reason Allah swt created us? Was this the reason He sent us the Qur'an down? Is this what we pay him back when He gives us these few days on earth to live?
On the way back home was just thinking all these things, May Allah swt guide every mumeen with Hidayah, show the wrong doers the right path, guide the evil doers towards good, save the good people from the bad, save the bad people from the wrong path and guide them, show us the siratul mustaqeem each time we recite the Surat Fateha in every rakath.

Grant all of us piousness and purity of heart and eemaan. Definitely there is Deen over Duniya and not Duniya over Deen, Lets pray we follow the right path and let our future generation follow us, When we are not on the rightly chosen path, we ourselves are guiding our generations towards the wrong path, With what shame would we face Allah swt? What would we do when He asks what did you all leave for your kids? Certainly, Money, Property etc etc, its all crap and of no use for Allah swt, for only thing He accounts is the tauheed, taqwaa, the purity and righteousness.
O Allah we are your sinful slaves forgive us, donot be sad or angry with us, We fail to worship you, the way You have asked us to. Forgive us, Grant us Jannatul Firdaus... Aameen Bi-rehmatika ya arhamar'rahimeen!

When i took Suratul Luqman to My Life...

I was reading the translation of Suratul Luqman on a sunday afternoon, i.e., today, offlate i have always wondered why this Surah remains one of my favorite Surah's.

Today i realised why this Surah became one of the favorites, It was because this lovely Surah-The Revelation from Allah swt taught me many things in my life.

1. The 7th verse of the Surah: "And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment."

Way back to my teens, i never had any friends who were very close to me, i preferred staying alone, as i didnot like being with the couple of folks in tution or school, this was the time when i saw little mistakes often repeated by girls here and there, i went and tried correcting them but of no vain, its human tendency that we feel a little dissapointed when your advice is turned out to be a stupid joke or a tacky PJ or whatever! And now when i turn back and hear what each of the ones who made fun of me correcting their mistakes have seriously been repenting for what they did, I have to admit i only hear but never get to meet them.

Every verse Allah swt sent us down with a message, How to lead a righteous life on earth? How to stay protected from the harm of Dunya and Iblees? And, this made me realise that the one who turns away from the word of Allah swt, infact Allah has made them deaf!

2. The 18th verse of the Surah: "And turn not your face away from men with pride and do not walk through the earth exultantly. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful."

I have always experienced this, the more humble you are, the more the good and righteous people love you, admire you, seek your guidance, listen to your advice and correct your flaws. The more arrogant and proud you become the righteous sideline you and the unwanted the rich and pride trash surrounds you and you get more dirtier and dirtier. Remember, Allah swt has sent us down on this earth with an exam to pass, the reward lies in the hereafter! When you reach out to a needy or free out a slave donot brag and boast at the top of your voice, Our Beloved Prophet(pbuh) has said to his ummah, when your right hand gives out charity the left hand should not know it. And when you start arrogantly boasting about yourself you forget that what you are today is only because of Allah swt, Be a humble slave of Allah and then life becomes worth the living!

3. The 19th verse of the Surah: "And be moderate (or show no insolence) in your walking, and lower your voice. Verily, the harshest of all voices is the voice (braying) of the donkey."

Way back in 1997, we had a school annual day i was a good orator and my english class teacher then Ms.Revathi and grammar teacher Ms.Triveni Nair wanted me to perform a drama "David and the Goliath" that was the time the school authorities thought i am more than an academics kid and approached me to take part in a group dance, I never knew anything i took the same news home i.e., to my mum, she just looked at me and asked me to go do my homework, After maghrib salath i was sitting next to her, she took away a little of my musalla and said beta this is earth, we go in here as this is our final destination, do you want to hurt it dancing? i asked why does earth get hurt? mum said you jump you dance you do all the moves in front of the crowd? wouldn't Allah get hurt with this? What will Allah swt command the earth to do when you go inside?
The same applies to it now, donot walk or perform anything that makes 10 people look at you, donot walk haughtily to show off your presence, Be moderate in walking and when you talk soften and lower your voice, make things settle to the point and donot be a braying donkey raising your voice and hurting the other person.

4. The 33rd verse of the Surah: "O mankind, fear your Lord and fear a Day when no father will avail his son, nor will a son avail his father at all. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth, so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allah by the Deceiver."

On a day to day basis, kids today, teens tomorrow and adults day after, Allah has made human beings weak and He has declared this is in Suratul Nisa- Allah says: “Allah would make the burden light for you, for the human being was created weak.” [Sûrah al-Nisa: 28]
At the same time He guides the righteous and makes the wrongers dumb and deaf! In terms of Shirk, some people always have an answer, correct them and they shoot back at you saying-Our elders have done this and we are supposed to do it. I had a friend, 4 years of engineering we were good friends, infact she is a very good hearted, good natured humble girl. That was when she told me something Shirk-A occasion which is Bidaah and Haraam in Islam and that is been performed at the house, I immediately told her, Nay you aren't supposed to do it, she replied back straight "My elders do it and all of us at home are going to do it, must be you are a Ahle-Hadith only those people object this"
I asked her the authentic islamic proof of what she is doing she states it right and i also want to see how far she is right, she failed over and over the next 3 years of my engineering i always guided her and never a piece of what i said got into her.
And Allah swt knew this when He revealed the Qur'an to manking thousands of years ago, and He clearly said "No father can avail a son nor can a son avail a father" Do what your elders did, if it were sin it is a sin for them? Folks, why do you want to commit the samee sin again and again because they did, they are not going to be your rescuers on the Day of Judgement!

When it comes to Shirk Allah swt tells in the same Surah, verse 15: But if they both (parents) strive with you to make you join in worship with Me others that of which you have no knowledge, then obey them not, but behave with them in the world kindly, and follow the path of him who turns to Me in repentance and in obedience. Then to Me will be your return, and I shall tell you what you used to do.

When it comes to Shirk Allah has commanded you not to obey the ones who have given you birth, Because He clearly states that unto Him is our finale return.

5. The 34th vesre of the Surah: Indeed, Allah [alone] has knowledge of the Hour and sends down the rain and knows what is in the wombs. And no soul perceives what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul perceives in what land it will die. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.

It was very much in college, work i often see people believers and non believers often talking about astrolegers, future predictors and reading the zodiac sign column every day in the newspaper section without fail, sometimes i have to hide notifications on facebook stating the zodiac predictions for the day! Nauzubillah! No one on earth will know what is going to happen next, Its only Allah swt who knows What? When? How? Where? etc etc.
He has craeted us from clay and only clay and He sent us down only fora  purpose to worship Him Alone and refrain from any sin, but what do you see? People are busy figuring out whats going to happen next, next and next!
Some Astrolegers predict things and that is also mentioned in Islam as of How!

“(He Alone is) the All-Knower of the Ghayb (unseen), and He reveals to none His Ghayb (unseen), except to a Messenger (from mankind) whom He has chosen. (He informs him of unseen as much as He likes), and then He makes a band of watching guards (angels) to march before him and after him.” Suratul-Jinn: Ayah 26-27.

One of the most frequent activities associated with the Jinn, is fortune telling. Before the advent of the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) fortune-tellers and soothsayers were wide spread. These people would use their associates from the Jinn to find out about the future. The Jinns would go to the lowest heaven and listen to the Angels conversing amongst themselves about events of the Future which they heard from Allah. The Jinns would then inform the fortune-tellers. This is why before the time of the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) many fortune-tellers were very accurate in their predictions. However, upon the Prophet's arrival the heavens were guarded intensely by the Angels, and any Jinn who tried to listen was attacked by meteors (shooting stars)

The Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) also said: "They (the Jinn) would pass the information back down until it reaches the lips of a magician or forrtune-teller Sometimes a meteor would overtake them before they could pass it on. If they passed it on before being struck, they would add to it a hundred lies". Thus, it is clear from this as to how fortune-tellers get predictions of the future right. It is also evident as to why they get so many wrong.

And We have guarded it (the heavens) from every accursed devil, except one who is able to snatch a hearing and he is pursued by a brightly burning flame
[Surah Al-Hijr, 15:18]

It was a good experience sharing my own experiences of life as i realised why this Surat was very close to my heart, I had experiences in life that really made me these wonderful verses of the Surat so worthful.

O Allah! Guide every believer with your word, grant us paradise and refrain us from committing sins and make us ammong the righteous and save us from among the wrong doers, Aamen Bi-rehmatika ya ar'hamaraahimeen!

Will come out with an other Surat soon!

JazakAllahu Khayrahn!
